Leslie Baumgartner
Technician
I have lived in El Dorado County since 1962, been an RTV for the last 36 years, worked for Dr. Bader in the late 1980's and joined SSVC in 2021. Outside of the clinic, I train horses, ride in Endurance events, have participated in the Tevis Ride and am a member of the Sweep Riders of the Sierras.
I love animals and want to use my experience to help the patients who come into SSVC

Jamie Rayford
Technician
I've been a veterinary assistant at SSVC for almost five years, and every day, I fall more in love with my job. Caring for animals isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. From assisting in treatments to comforting our furry patients, I know I’ve truly found my calling. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll find me riding my horse or tending to my sheep, fully embracing the country life that keeps my heart full.

Cristal Willis R.V.T.
Technician
I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 23 years. While I primarily work with small animals, I have a passion for exotics. My favorite part of veterinary medicine is anesthesia and helping clients through the process.
Outside of work, I love pottery, swing dancing, and taking care of my plants!

Lauren Gervaise
Technician
Hi there! I’m Lauren — a passionate nature enthusiast and devoted horse rider with an unwavering love for animals. My journey in veterinary care began in 2023 as a vet assistant, and I’m proud to now be part of the Shingle Springs Emergency Veterinary team as of 2024. Every day, I’m committed to providing compassionate, top-quality care to our beloved furry companions. 🐾
When I’m not tending to animals, you’ll find me embracing the great outdoors — whether it’s on horseback, carving through snow-covered slopes, hiking scenic trails, or unwinding by the river.🐴 🌺🍀

Ava Horn
Technician
Hi, I’m Ava! I’ve been a Veterinary Technician for over seven years, dedicating my life to caring for animals and making a difference in their lives. Born and raised in Northern California, I’ve always had a deep love for both domestic and wild animals. When I’m not at work helping your furry family members, you’ll find me volunteering at Sierra Wildlife, riding and working on motorcycles, teaching my dog new tricks, or studying hard to earn my Licensed Veterinary Technician degree. Every day is an adventure, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Cheyenne Anderson
Technician
I have been passionate about animals my whole life and started my career in zoology in 2013. As a wildlife biologist, I worked in conservation with whales, snakes, alligators, sea turtles, and more. In 2022, I brought my expertise to Shingle Springs Vet Clinic as a veterinary assistant, where I now work with cats and dogs.
Whether in the wild or at the clinic, I am dedicated to giving animals the care and respect they deserve!

Jesse Berry C.V.T.
Technician
I am a certified veterinary assistant with a lifelong passion for animals. With nearly two years of experience in the veterinary field, I joined the Shingle Springs Veterinary Clinic in January 2024 and am truly grateful to be part of this dedicated team. My dream of becoming a veterinarian began at the age of six and has driven my career aspirations ever since.
As a triplet with an older sister, family life is a vibrant part of who I am. I’ve been a customer at Shingle Springs for over a year before joining as a team member, which has only deepened my connection to this clinic.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, doing nail art, and spending time with my family and our diverse menagerie, including a dog, a cat, a rabbit, and a sassy bearded dragon. I am also passionate about traveling and aspire to explore the world while learning new languages.
