A Miracle on Christmas
A Christmas Story of Hope and Kindness
On Christmas Eve, a tragedy struck my family when our beloved dog, Tahoe, was attacked by two other dogs. With Tahoe’s life hanging in the balance, I rushed her to the Shingle Springs Veterinary Clinic (SSVC) and received a quote for the treatment needed to save her life. My heart sank—I couldn’t afford it. I was devastated, crying, and falling apart as I grappled with the thought of losing her.
Then, in a moment I will never forget, a man in the next room overheard my despair. He approached me, calm and reassuring, and said, "You are not losing your dog on Christmas. I'll pay for it."
I was stunned. When I had said, "Good things happen to good people," I never truly believed it until that day. The kindness and generosity of this man brought me to tears. I later learned that he runs an animal rescue operation called Baja Street Dogs.
This incredible individual saved not only Tahoe’s life but also my family’s Christmas. The veterinarian and staff at SSVC, who were deeply moved, also went above and beyond to ensure Tahoe received the best care possible. Their dedication to both Tahoe and my family was nothing short of extraordinary.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful vet hospital this is. Dr Bader and Dr Julio and Ava went above and beyond to help save my little guy loki. Thank you Kathy too for being such a kind soul. though his prognosis wasnt good they did everything they could to help save him. loki didn't make it but I don't blame them at all. his illness was to blame. i'll continue to take my pets to this amazing vet clinic.
